Walid Maalouf Mr. T.J. Solomon, II is a lawyer and prominent Lebanese American in Gaston County, North Carolina. He is admitted to practice law in both North and South Carolina. He is also admitted in the U.S. District Court of North and South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Military Appeals. He was a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force on active duty from 1975 to 1980 and reserve duty from 1980 through 1996 when he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. While on active duty he was stationed near Madrid, Spain for 3 years.

He serves on many non-profit boards including the Community Foundation of Gaston County; the Little Theatre of Gastonia; and the AIDS Council of Gaston County. He is also past president and member of the Gastonia East Rotary Club, and is a Paul Harris Fellow. His professional affiliations include South Carolina Bar, North Carolina State Bar, American Association for Justice, North Carolina Advocates for Justice, American Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, and Gaston County District 27A Bar, past president.

T.J. earned his juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a B.A. in history from Coe College, Iowa. He is a partner in the law firm of Gray, Layton, Kersh, Solomon, Furr & Smith, PA, in Gastonia, NC, where he lives.
